Antenatal Yoga Classes

Pregnancy yoga is a holistic tool to connect you to yourself and your unborn baby.

It's also a birth empowerment and preparation practice that can help you tap into your own innate knowing of how to bring your baby earth-side.

You're welcome to attend from 14 weeks of pregnancy right up to labour.

What to expect:

  • A gentle antenatal yoga class for women, from 14 weeks pregnant up to labour

  • We start with relaxation, followed by gentle, invitational movement

  • A chance to connect with the group over light refreshments

  • Come as you are - all equipment is provided

  • Wear comfortable clothing for movement and relaxation

Postnatal Yoga Classes

Yoga means 'union', and postnatal yoga is a gentle re-union back to your body - a movement practice for after birth, once you've been signed off to exercise again by your doctor.

It's about taking a non-judgemental approach to where and how you meet your own body, following any kind of birth. Non-mobile babies are very welcome!

You and your baby can expect:

  • A gentle postnatal yoga class for women with non-mobile babies

  • Come as you are - all equipment is provided for you and your baby

  • Light refreshments provided after the session

  • Wear comfortable clothing for movement and relaxation

Meet Your Yoga Teacher, Charli Headly

Hi, I'm Charli - a 300-hour qualified yoga teacher with additional training in perinatal yoga, yin yoga, EFT, peer support, somatic healing and coaching.

I've been teaching yoga for over six years, in community centres, mental health charities, corporate settings and 1:1 in people's own homes.

For me, yoga is a coming home to myself, and I love teaching in a way that invites you to reconnect with yourself during the rite of passage that is motherhood.

As a mum to two beautiful tween girls, my own pregnancies and postnatal periods were the catalyst for finding my way back to who I was, at a time when my whole world and identity felt like they'd shifted beneath me.

It's a real privilege to be part of the Bird Box family and this special place they've created.
